October 2008. Donnelly River. This is me and my sister-in-law Kate. Kate has just walked the Bibbulmun Walk Trail by herself! It's about a thousand kilometres long! She did it in about nine weeks, usually sleeping at night in rough, stark, unembellished wooden huts. Jeez! I wouldn't have lasted more than one day. We met her at Donnelly River to take her some fresh supplies for her back pack. The kangaroo insisted upon appearing in the photograph. Bloody cheek!
